Yes, I got your chicken soup recipe before I left but I’ve made up my own the other day and it is killer! called it yhomi soup. Mom when i come home I’ll cook and clean for you. (if you pay meJ) Man you’ll be blown away by my cooking skills!

I found out that I’m staying another transfer and I’m dso excited for that! I thought i was leaving. I had a the best experience this week that i don’t think i will ever forget! Every Monday we meet with our bishop and kinda have a correlation with him. He gave us some names to visit so we did. He directed us to this one house that we should go visit and the address said 15 circle rd but he thought it was 14. Now it would make sense if it was 13 because it’s right next to the house but we didn’t know. We went to 15 and turns out the family moved out like 6 months earlier so we checked it off our list but then we felt like we should go to 14. We knocked on the door and a lady comes to the door who is maybe 30 and we ask if the one family lives here,,,, lol as an icebreaker haha....  She said she doesn’t know them and then we just introduce ourselves and start to leave something behind with her. But she invited us in to pray with her which was kinda odd. Then she explained how she was just praying to God and asking Him why so many bad things were happening in her life. She told us that after she was done praying she was going to kill herself but then she looked up she saw us coming to her house. We were able to comfort her and set time for another visit. Tender mercy! Oh how the Lord guides us where we need to go as we follow the Spirit!

Oh dad I’m glad you are now finding out about this draught. It’s pretty serious. The elders there can only shower for 1 min, have limited water during the day, can only flush twice a day. That kinda thing. hahaha glad I’m not in cape town so it does not affect me but they are seriously going to run out of water in like 100 days. The dams are dry. i don’t know what’s going to happen but maybe the missionaries are going to leave or something like that soo pretty big deal! And yes, we lost some Madagascar missionaries. They leave this coming Wednesday.

January 22, 2018

Man i just got done with the war chapters in the Book of Mormon too.... still to this day my favorite person in the book or Mormon is Teancum!!!!! That guy is freaking awesome! haha This week was crazy! We had interviews and zone conference. I think our mission does it pretty different than others. We have interviews one day and then after the president goes out with the zone leaders, we have zone conference the next day. There are 2 zones here so the first hour is zones separate and the zone leaders do a training and then after the hour we come together for presidents training. We have lunch and then leadership training afterwards It’s kinda weird but enjoyable.  In zone conference we talked about revelation and daily planning. If you haven’t read the talk by Bruce R. Mckonkie titled agency or inspiration, which.... you should read it cause that’s kinda what we talked about. And second I’m very grateful that the Lord inspired us to do this training so we could be affecive! You see that humility in there!!! ha

During my interview with President Lebethoa i asked him a question with some of our investigators who were baptized and never confirmed cause one of them got cold feet and started to doubt and the other had an emergency surgery and then we lost her.... You might think wow, but Africans are on another dimension! haha The President said that if they don’t get confirmed this Sunday they have to be baptized again. Well we prayed lots and told Hugo (the one that we were still in contact with) to really pray and read about the Book of Mormon. We came back Saturday and turns out his prayers were answered... again!! He was able to make it to church and get confirmed. Then Yonella who we couldn’t find... long story short we found her after wondering through a township and asking if people knew a yonella haha but she said she would come to church and be confirmed. It’s just that she was recovering from surgery and then lost her job, so she didn’t have any money to come to church and it’s really far to walk. She walked into church seriously 30 seconds before the confirmation. Ah we were sooooo happy!!!!!!! After church we went to go visit Hugo and he was there reading the Book of Mormon and he said he made a promise to us that he will read it every day and thanked us for never giving up on him. It was such a tender mercy!! Everything rides on the Book of Mormon. There is great power from the Book of Mormon!

January 15, 2017

We had a great week. Each Sunday we stand next to the door and welcome people in and as we are waiting there my comp and I along with another buddy and l looked over and there is President Hamilton (area president) He gave a super good talk in sacrament meeting about how the new prophet is chosen and then sustaining him as the new prophet.. Yo it was like a conference talk! That was definitely the highlight of the week.. We also met a 70 year old white couple who we invited to church and they came!!! hahaha Super goofy but way funny. I love that family and excited to teach them some more!

So what do you do with all your free time now that you don’t have meetings all the time, Dad? Mom said you just wonder the house. hahaha. Reading is fun though. I wish i had more time to read but i get tired and then start to fall asleep during the night time and i don’t really have time in the morning. I want to read a lot more but i can’t.

I really really love the ward, they are so awesome. i get along with well them and they are way fun. We are invited to dinner all the time cause we visit with so many members, like 10 visits a week!!! I feel like I’m getting fat but that’s ok. At least we are getting good referrals!

I started to read a marvelous work and a wonder and the few beginning chapters just blow my mind!!! Everytime i read it it’s like alma 32;28!

January 8, 2018

Oh my goodness, you were released? That is crazy! I can’t believe things are changing. I’m kind of exciting though. Probably when i get home for the first time since i can remember, i will sit with you on the pews haha. But how did you keep track of how many temple recommend interviews you have done? Wow that is a lot!

I’m over my sickness but i really had no idea what it was. I was really achy but that was just for a day and then i felt nauseated for a few day but its no more.

Ah the best thing that i have eaten in south africa ahhhh that’s a hard one cause they eat the same things but just prepare it differently like the veggies but i really really like milk tart haha its a dessert!

This week was great. But i always think its great though sooo no problems. When i was sick i wanted to give your chicken noodle soup recipe to the senior couple and tell her to make me chicken noodle soup hahaha oh man i was craving it so much!!!!

Transfers are coming up and so in my weekly letter to President Lebethoa i was telling him i want to stay really bad. hahah I can’t say much has happened this week other than my testimony has grown a lot. it on the Book of Mormon. We were counseled to spend more time reading with the people we teach in lessons and as we do, it brings the Spirit so much more and the people have a more positive attitude about being baptized. The Book of Mormon is so true and i invite everyone, for their new years resolutions, to read it at least twice this year!!!

Tell dad sorry because his letter was kinda lame so I’m going to respond to both of you on this one. Yesterday i was sick and it was the worst. Also it was pday and no shops were open because of the new year so we just stuck in the house the whole day. Finally we were going to play volleyball and i really really wanted to play so i drugged up on some meds so i could play. Bad decision, i felt terrible afterwards. The good part was, we won in volleyball. lol  I still love volleyball and want to play after my mission. The missionaries are pretty good but they don’t know how to set hahah. Sorry, that was bad of me to judge but it’s not the same.

This week was pretty rough not gonna lie. We had about 4 investigator lessons for the week (now i feel bad cause that’s all some missions have hahah) but that’s out of the norm for us. We did lots of finding which was nice and we have a lot of potential investigators now! I’m excited. Really nothing happened this week. My letter is also boring but just excited for our investigators to come back for their holiday so we can teach and also preparing for the Lumbe family to be baptized on the 28 of January which will probably be my last week here, so pray for them!!!!!!!!!
